About this grant
The Forest Peoples Programme works to ensure that the rights and interests of forest peoples are given priority in the policies and programs of the World Bank Group and regional development banks. With prior Mott Foundation support, the program has helped to instigate one of the most important sector-wide lending reviews at the World Bank, assessing impacts of lending in the palm oil sector on the environment and livelihoods of forest-dependent communities. This project will continue its focus on assisting forest-dependent communities to engage directly in policy debates and ensure that the lessons learned from projects in the field are fed effectively into the advocacy process.
