About this grant

With this renewal grant, Both Ends Foundation will continue working to improve the policies and practices of international finance institutions, so that they do not cause environmental and social harm. Over the last grant period, it played an active role in both the World Bank Environmental Policy and Energy Strategy review processes, preparing case studies that highlighted concrete issues raised by the reviews. Through this project, the grantee provides support to nongovernmental organizations in developing countries and Central and Eastern Europe, works on project and issue specific campaigns with other nongovernmental organizations, and promotes improvements to the overall policies of international finance institutions. It also works to reform the Dutch export credit agency and private banks.
