About this grant

Founded in 1977, Northeast-Midwest Institute is a nonpartisan, Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting economic and environmental vitality for the northeastern and Midwestern regions of the United States. With prior Mott support, the grantee provided opportunities for federal decisionmakers, regional stakeholders, and other interested parties to jointly identify and promote regional Great Lakes priorities related to water quality, water conservation, habitat protection and restoration, and invasive species. With renewed support, the grantee will continue this work by undertaking research and policy analyses and translating and disseminating relevant scientific data.
