About this grant

River Network works to build the organizational capacity and programmatic expertise of river and watershed groups active at the state, regional and local levels. This grant increase and one-year grant period extension will allow River Network to continue to provide a variety of technical assistance services to such groups in the Great Lakes region and southeastern United States. Assistance will include access to publications and Web-based materials; customized consultation on issues such as board development, strategic planning and fundraising; workshops and training on organizational development topics and particulars of the Clean Water Act; support for attendance at the National River Rally and regional gatherings; and small grants. In addition, River Network will upgrade its database and in-house technology to improve the effectiveness of its program work.
