About this grant
River Network provides organizational, technical and networking assistance to the freshwater conservation community nationwide and is very active in the Great Lakes and southeastern U.S.This grant will enable the network to deliver its core programs in the Great Lakes and Southeast and undertake other projects that benefit groups in the two regions, such as providing scholarships to attend its annual meeting. In addition, funds will be used to address internal organizational development needs.Accomplishments during the past three years included helping statewide river groups form and become more stable; training statewide groups to deliver technical services to local groups; and assisting partners in the use of the Clean Water Act.
