About this grant
River Network is a national environmental organization that provides technical assistance to help its 2,000 members protect freshwater resources at the regional, state, and local levels. With prior Mott support, the grantee provided a broad range of capacity building and programmatic services to freshwater groups working in the Great Lakes. With continued Mott support over the next two years, the grantee will conduct an in-depth regional research project to identify areas of the Great Lakes Basin where increased on-the-ground capacity is needed. The resulting map, and its underlying data, will help the grantee tailor its services (individualized consultations, group training, networking events, and other forms of technical assistance) to support watershed groups in the Great Lakes Basin.
