About this grant

This grant will support the National Network of Sector Partners (NNSP), a trade association for sectoral workforce practitioners created by the National Economic Development and Law Center. NNSP’s mission is to shape the national dialogue about sector initiatives, and to advance a national sector strategy that advocates for the concerns and priorities of stakeholders.Multiyear funding will enable NNSP to pursue objectives that include documenting the growth of the field; building a diverse and expanded funding base for sectoral initiatives; creating an online self-assessment tool to help individual projects assess their effectiveness; building learning networks on improving jobs in low-wage sectors and systems change; continuing its Strategic Venture Grants program; and organizing a national conference in Chicago.Recent accomplishments included implementing a new business plan; adding members; developing new revenue sources; and designing new policy strategies to support sectoral work.
