About this grant
Women’sNet is a women-led nonprofit that provides training, capacity building, and skills development in the information communications technology field for women in the nonprofit sector. Over the years, Mott has provided support to facilitate the promotion of gender equality through developing the capacity of women to use information communications technology for advocacy, networking, and participation in electronic policy debates. This grant will continue to provide support to Women’sNet to use information communications technology to empower women and, in particular, strengthen their leadership in the sector by ensuring that their voices are heard. Women’sNet will specifically focus on making information communications technology accessible to disadvantaged and marginalized women, providing training and support to women-led, community-based organizations to use the Internet more strategically. A strong emphasis also will be placed on linking projects, people, tools, and resources within women’s organizations through technology to enhance opportunities for collaboration and networking.
