About this grant
This grant will continue to provide support to the Black Sash Trust, a highly respected organization dedicated to the promotion and defense of human rights in South Africa. The grantee operates a national office and seven regional offices throughout South Africa that focus on civil, political, and socioeconomic rights. Previous support assisted in providing a range of services from legal advice to consumer education and labor dispute resolution. Activities in the next two years will include strengthening the paralegal sector in order to expand access to social justice for poor and vulnerable communities across South Africa.
