About this grant

The project goal is to strengthen the development of a sustainable nonprofit sector in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia that is engaged in decisionmaking and policy development on behalf of its constituents and beneficiaries. To this end, CARE USA, working through CARE International, will support select grassroots, community-based civic organizations working with Roma and a national network of Roma organizations. CARE USA will provide training, technical assistance, networking opportunities, and small grants to the selected organizations and the national network. During 2005-2006, CARE USA supported four Roma organizations and three youth-led networks with grants, training, and technical assistance. CARE USA implements its programming in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia through its office in Banja Luka, Bosnia-Herzegovina.
