About this grant
Hestia is the leading national organization encouraging volunteering in the Czech Republic. It works to promote an understanding of volunteerism and expand volunteerism to new areas, and operates volunteer programs to help citizens address community issues.Multiyear funding will enable Hestia to strengthen the Coalition of Voluntary Initiatives (CVI) and its members; improve the effectiveness of volunteer management; continue to develop and manage volunteer programs; promote volunteerism; and participate in international programs promoting volunteering in Europe.Achievements during the past two years included establishing CVI; operating several volunteer programs; promoting volunteerism through conferences, publications and a Web site; and participating in the work of several international organizations such as the European Volunteer Center.
