About this grant

The Shelter of Flint provides a variety of programs and services that build the capacity of individuals and families to achieve stability. Programs include emergency shelter, transitional housing, outreach and crisis prevention.Multiyear funding will enable the organization to continue providing programs and services, including launching a five step program to address individual skill development; and increasing the number of subsidized housing options for low-income families through the Rosewood Apartments and in downtown Flint.The Shelter of Flint, identified as a state model of supportive services management for the homeless, assists approximately 1,500 clients annually.
