About this grant
The Shelter of Flint, Inc., provides services for more than 1,000 homeless clients each year. Many of these clients are families who are homeless primarily due to economic circumstances. The principal goal of the agency is to assist these individuals and families in achieving stability through a continuum of care ranging from crisis prevention and counseling to literacy and vocational classes. This renewal grant will provide general purpose support for the agency to continue to operate its emergency shelter, as well as various support services, to help homeless individuals and families achieve personal independence and self-sufficiency.
