About this grant
The goal of the project is to make Executive Service Corps of Chicago (ESC) services more accessible to nonprofit organizations located in disadvantaged neighborhoods in Chicago. These organizations have budgets of less than $1 million. The project provides $5,000 scholarships to participating nonprofits that help bridge the gap between ESC’s fees and its per project cost.Multiyear funding will enable the project to provide funds for scholarships for five eligible nonprofits per year for the next three years. ESC consulting services will focus on management and governance practices.During the past two years, ESC provided consulting services annually to six small nonprofits serving primarily minority, inner-city populations in disadvantaged neighborhoods.
