About this grant
The annual nonprofit Circuit Rider Round-Up conference brings together specialists who provide technology services to nonprofit organizations. Since its creation, the conference has grown from a few dozen participants to more than 300 annually.Multiyear funding will support two annual conferences. The first will be held in 2004 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with 345 attendees expected; in 2005, 430 participants are expected. Sessions will focus more heavily on programmatic uses of technology rather than the technical how-to’s. Conference goals include providing more effective conference management; increasing overall attendance; assisting local nonprofits through a day of service; strengthening nonprofits technology providers’ professional support networks; sharing information and resources; and catalyzing sector-wide collaborative efforts.
