Integrating Afterschool and School-Community Partnerships

About this grant

This grant will provide support to the American Youth Policy Forum to organize a series of forums, Webinars, and discussion groups to educate key stakeholders on the important role afterschool and expanded learning opportunities play in preparing youth for college, careers, and civic engagement. The educational opportunities will inform key stakeholders on: 1) the essential characteristics and elements of successful afterschool programs, including school-community partnerships for middle and high school-aged youth; 2) the positive impact of afterschool participation on the development of youth academic and nonacademic competencies; and 3) policies that support, sustain, and expand afterschool programs.
