About this grant
American Friends of the Czech Republic was created to strengthen transatlantic communication and cooperation between U.S. and Czech non-governmental organizations (NGOs).Funding will enable the organization to continue building the donor-advised program for Charles University; implementing a planned giving program; educating Czech legislators on voting reform efforts; developing a young leaders program that provides Czech leaders with intern assignments in the United States; working with Czech NGOs on a food bank project; and planning a celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution.Recent accomplishments included completing construction of Masaryk Park in Washington, D.C.; partnering with Kraft Foods and a local Czech NGO to establish a food bank in Prague; organizing a food relief project; and implementing a donor-advised program at Charles University.
