About this grant
This grant provides general purpose support to the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers, a national network of 33 geographically organized regional associations of grantmakers that collectively represent more than 5,500 participating organizations. The grantee facilitates effective philanthropy by delivering educational programming and resources, convening foundations, communicating the value of philanthropy, and sustaining and supporting regional grantmaker associations. Some of the grantee’s recent activities include co-organizing the annual Foundations on the Hill event; providing information and educational opportunities for members (annual conference, Webinars, monthly policy round robin calls, biweekly newsletters, Website, grantmaker education programming directory); hosting the PolicyWorks for Philanthropy project; and engaging in collaborative partnerships with other infrastructure organizations. Over the next two years, the grantee will implement its New Vision of broadening its network to include national issue-based, identity-based, and practice-based funder affinity groups, thus becoming a nexus of regional and national philanthropy.
