About this grant
The European Foundation Centre is an independent membership association of foundations and corporate funders dedicated to promoting organized philanthropy in Europe and internationally. In 2015, the grantee carried out a wide range of activities, including organizing an annual general assembly and conference in Milan, Italy, in May and a “Euro Philantopics” conference in Brussels, Belgium, in November. In 2016, the grantee will launch a new strategic framework focusing on: 1) providing intellectual leadership on emerging policy agendas and societal trends and issues; 2) strengthening its role in promoting and supporting joint learning and cross-border collaboration on complex and urgent societal agendas; 3) deepening its work on advancing the well-being of the sector and on building data and knowledge on philanthropic practice; and 4) stepping up its role as a voice for the philanthropic sector in Europe. Established in 1989 by seven of Europe’s leading foundations, the European Foundation Centre today serves a core membership of over 200 members.
