About this grant
This grant provides continued general purpose support to BoardSource, an organization that provides governance training, information, and leadership opportunities to increase the effectiveness of the nation’s nonprofit agencies. Major recent accomplishments include: launching of the Stand for Your Mission Campaign; membership growth of over 220 percent in the last three years, serving over 100,000 nonprofit leaders; the rebranding and publishing of the 8th annual BoardSource Governance Index, attracting responses from over 1,000 chief executives and board chairs; hosting four cohorts of over 100 Certified Governance Trainers operating in 38 states and 5 countries; launched a new section on GuideStar called People and Governance, aimed at creating transparency; launched and expanded the Board Recruitment Center; and over 250 participants earned a Certificate of Nonprofit Board Education for nonprofit leaders, board chairs, and chief executives through the BoardSource Academy.
