About this grant

Mani Tese is an Italian organization working on international development issues since 1964. The main goal of this project is to ensure that global financial flows contribute to internationally adopted principles that support and promote sustainable development. To achieve this goal, the main areas of focus will be to ensure that public financial institutions support sustainable development; re-regulate the financial sector; hold investors accountable for environmental and social impacts on communities in developing countries; and develop a new climate finance mechanism. Over the last grant period, the grantee created close cooperation between the project staff and the Italian banking and ethical finance sectors; and facilitated the development of new nongovernmental organization proposals to address climate finance.
