About this grant
This grant will provide general purposes support to the Bank Information Center. Given the central role that multilateral development banks play in formulating development policy, the Bank Information Center supports developing country organizations through its information dissemination and capacity-building activities, networking and coalition-building expertise, and advocacy support. This work ensures that local communities and civil society organizations in developing countries are able to influence the social and environmental impacts of multilateral development bank-financed projects and policies. During the next two years, project activities will include providing information and technical assistance to nongovernmental organizations’ efforts to reform the World Bank and regional multilateral development banks in Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and Latin America.
