About this grant

The Fathers at Work Initiative is a six-site, multiyear demonstration project working to develop the knowledge and supporting operational models needed to address the employment needs of low-income, noncustodial fathers. Since 2000, Public/Private Ventures has been providing oversight of the initiative, delivering technical assistance to the sites, evaluating the project and disseminating publications on lessons learned.Multiyear funding will support objectives that include strengthening the work of grantee organizations in their efforts to enable low-income fathers to achieve sustained employment and increased earnings, fulfill their child support obligation and become more engaged with their children; developing effective programs for noncustodial fathers; and sharing lessons learned with grantees, practitioners, policymakers, government officials and others seeking to improve opportunities for low-income fathers and their children.
