About this grant

The Fathers at Work Initiative is a six-site, multiyear demonstration project that aims to reduce poverty among young, low-income fathers by increasing employment and earnings; connecting fathers to a more receptive child-support system that reflects their employment and earnings capacity; and responsibly engaging fathers with their children. Public/Private Ventures (P/PV) provides day-to-day oversight of the initiative, delivers technical assistance to the sites, evaluates the project and disseminates lessons learned.Funding will enable P/PV to support and strengthen the work of grantees to help low-income fathers; provide technical assistance to grantees to help them meet their goals; support the further development of effective programs for non-custodial fathers; and produce information, analysis and lessons learned to improve opportunities for low-income fathers and the well-being of their children.
