About this grant

This grant continues Mott’s membership in and general purposes support to the Council of Michigan Foundations. For its more than 400 members, the council provides educational programs, technical assistance, networking opportunities, advocacy with policymakers and regulators, and collaborative work with leading national and regional philanthropic associations across the country. Highlights of accomplishments in 2006 include launching the Essential Skills for New Grantmakers program, helping more than 35 community foundations meet national standards, initiating a corporate-community involvement teleconference series, and assisting the state of Michigan in launching the Early Childhood Investment Corporation.
