About this grant
This grant will provide general purpose support to the Umtapo Centre. The cornerstone of the centre’s work is its Peace, Human Rights, and Antiracism Education program, which engages large numbers of people, particularly youth, to create awareness and mobilize against violence and racism. Over the next year, the Umtapo Centre will consolidate its peace and antiracism resource centers into 30 schools nationally; produce three newsletters; complete two, five-day Peace, Human Rights, and Antiracism Education program training courses; conduct an impact assessment of the program; and develop an endowment fund and explore other sustainability options.
