About this grant
Funding will enable the Arise Citizens’ Policy Project to focus on building support for comprehensive tax reform in Alabama. Additional priorities include exploring new communication strategies and continuing to expand its base of financial support.During the past two years, the project played an important role in informing and framing public debates on revenue and spending issues and on new and existing policy initiatives in Alabama. This is one of 10 grants supporting the State Fiscal Analysis Initiative. The Arise Citizens’ Policy Project has been involved in this effort since 1993. Mott has also supported the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, which provides technical assistance and networking opportunities for the 35 state organizations participating in this initiative.
