About this grant
Great Lakes United works in Canada and the United States to promote the protection and restoration of the Great Lakes ecosystem. With prior Mott support, the organization helped improve regional water conservation planning, coordinated binational input into renegotiations of the U.S.-Canada Water Quality Agreement, and implemented a public outreach campaign in partnership with the American Sail Training Association’s Tall Ships Challenge. This grant increase will allow the grantee to continue its water quality and water management efforts, which include programs to control invasive species and monitor mining pollution.
