About this grant
The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana was created to promote the restoration and stewardship of Louisiana’s coastal plain and to design and monitor plans to bring about that restoration.Multiyear funding will support objectives that include defining the key elements of an effective, timely and accountable coastal restoration and stewardship plan; mobilizing stakeholder support for the approval and implementation of the plan; securing commitments from the State of Louisiana and the federal government to implement the plan; synchronizing private and public coastal uses and land management objectives with the plan; and increasing coalition membership.During the past three years, the coalition made progress in helping key state and federal leaders recognize the need for a comprehensive approach to coastal restoration and federal agencies have started developing feasibility studies to support the effort.
