About this grant
This grant will provide partial support to Detroit Entrepreneurship Institute, Inc., that will enable it to continue to provide business development services and technical assistance to individuals receiving public assistance, dislocated workers, and the working poor. Over the past 17 years, the Detroit Entrepreneurship Institute has consistently carried out its mission to alleviate poverty through providing entrepreneurial training, small business development services, technical assistance, economic literacy, and access to start-up capital. Since October 1990, over 4,500 adults and youth have enrolled in business training programs, and 870 are now operating or have expanded their own small enterprises.
