About this grant
This grant will provide general purpose support to the Harlem Children’s Zone, a comprehensive community-building initiative focused on improving outcomes for poor children and their families in Harlem. Serving over 20,000 youth and adults, the grantee provides an array of education, social, health, and community development services to children and families in a 97-block area in central Harlem. Recommended support will enable the grantee to continue to provide a coordinated system of supports to children and families from birth through college, continue an impact longitudinal study, and assist more than 60 communities funded through the federal Promise Zone Initiative.
