About this grant
This renewal grant will provide continued general purpose support to the Salem Housing Community Development Corporation, formerly Salem Housing Task Force. Created in 1984 by five neighborhood organizations and a church, its mission is to improve family living conditions by providing safe, decent, and affordable housing for families of limited income and to act as a catalyst to restore the neighborhoods within its service area. Foundation funding will support the general purposes of the organization, which primarily serves a 132-block area in northwest Flint.
