About this grant
The Center for Employment Opportunities is one of six sites participating in the Fathers at Work Initiative (FWI), a multiyear demonstration project created to develop operational models to address the employment needs of low-income, non-custodial fathers under the age of 30. Each site will provide 300 men with a range of employment services and child support assistance.Funding will enable the center to provide quality follow-up services for the men enrolled in FWI; work collaboratively with the New York City child support enforcement system to assist with the management of child-support orders; collect and provide outcome data to Public/Private Ventures; integrate FWI services into other workforce development programs; and seek local funding to continue services to young fathers.
