About this grant

The International Crisis Group’s (ICG) reports are geared toward policymakers, the media, and national and international organizations working in the region. Its goal is to support sustained, on-the-ground research and analysis of key issues and trends affecting the prevention and containment of violent conflict in the Western Balkans. This grant will enable ICG to focus its work in Serbia, Kosovo and Macedonia, while also monitoring developments in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro. ICG will produce and disseminate 10 to 12 reports; publish multiple opinion pieces in major international newspapers; and initiate advocacy meetings with key decisionmakers.During the past year, ICG produced seven in-depth reports that were published in English and local languages. Although its main office is in Brussels, it has three full-time analysts based in the region.
