About this grant

Hispanics in Philanthropy, a grantmaker affinity group, was established almost 20 years ago to expand the participation and leadership of the Latino community in the philanthropic sector. This grant will enable Hispanics in Philanthropy to develop projects that strengthen member services; enhance communications; work toward facilitating stronger partnerships among organized philanthropy and Latino communities; and build technological capacity. During the past three years, Hispanics in Philanthropy has expanded from 4 employees in one office to 17 employees in seven offices across the U.S.; increased membership from 96 to more than 450 members; implemented a fundraising plan; and launched a Web site that can be accessed in both English and Spanish.
