About this grant
The World Economy, Ecology and Development Association will continue its work in Germany to promote reform of international financial institution policies and operations. To further its objectives over the next year, the project will work to strengthen environmental and social policies and practices of international financial institutions; promote increased transparency and democratic governance at the World Bank; strengthen collaborative work between nongovernmental organizations; and raise public awareness of, and achieve policy reforms at, export credit agencies. The project’s overall strategic focus will be on policies related to the financing of energy projects. The project will work to increase overall awareness of the role of international financial institutions and export credit agencies in influencing energy policy worldwide and to systematically promote renewable energy.
