About this grant

The Association of Small Foundations was created to provide timely, practical and member-driven programs to all foundations with few or no staff and to help members better achieve their grantmaking missions. Multiyear funding will enable the association to host 20 grassroots gatherings, including informal site visits and peer member coaching; organize a national conference; conduct 10 trustee leadership seminars across the country; partner with national funders and affinity groups to bring grantmaking subject-related programming to the national conference; and develop an advanced grantmaking program that highlights grantsmanship.Highlights of the past two years include collaborating with regional associations and affinity groups to host 11 meetings and conferences; producing eight issues of a newsletter and offering an electronic version on the Web site; publishing a colleague guide; conducting two member surveys; and launching a printed and Web version of "Foundation in a Box."
