About this grant
The Bretton Woods Project of ActionAid has been a key actor on international financial institution reform issues since it was established in 1995. It works with nongovernmental organizations, researchers, and officials to scrutinize and reform policies and practices of international financial institutions, particularly the World Bank. Over the past grant period, Bretton Woods Project’s policy analysis was an important input into the design of new development objectives for World Bank lending to private banks and investment funds. The project will continue its multiple roles as a clearinghouse for information and research; advisor to nongovernmental organization networks working on reform of international financial institutions; a catalyst for strategy development and policy discussions; an intermediary between nongovernmental organizations and British government officials; and a media source for information on international financial institutions and their policies and practices.
