About this grant
Ecojustice Canada, formerly known as the Sierra Legal Defence Fund Society, provides policy and legal expertise and other technical assistance to environmental groups in Ontario working to protect the Great Lakes. With previous Mott support, the grantee worked to improve Great Lakes water quality by addressing toxic pollutants, encouraging upgrades to sewage infrastructure, and identifying ways to eliminate the introduction of aquatic invasive species. With renewed support, Ecojustice Canada will continue these initiatives while also gathering and reporting pollution data and partnering with other nongovernmental organizations around the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement.
