About this grant
The National Alliance for Choice in Giving was established in 1988 to increase awareness of and support for choice in workplace giving campaigns. Alliance members partner with businesses to develop programs that build employee awareness of the community in which they live, while increasing involvement and support.Multiyear funding will support objectives that include organizing two national workplace-giving training conferences; conducting an intensive training for new directors and senior staff of workplace giving federations; continuing to capitalize the Fund for Workplace Philanthropy; publishing two issues of "Workplace Giving News"; enhancing the Web site and ensuring compatibility with workplace giving technology initiatives; and serving as a liaison between members and the Combined Federal Campaign.During the past year, accomplishments included launching the Fund for Workplace Philanthropy; publishing and distributing 3,000 copies of the summer 2002 edition of "Workplace Giving News"; upgrading the Web site; organizing a workplace giving briefing at the Donors Forum of Chicago; providing workplace campaign management services to the National Cooperative Bank in Washington, D.C.; and offering technical assistance and consultation to members.
