About this grant
This renewal grant will allow the Greater Flint Arts Council to continue to implement a multimedia marketing and promotional campaign that seeks to maximize the impact of 14 established festivals. The grantee provides leadership for a coalition of stakeholders that are helping to improve the image of Flint through increased participation in summertime festivals and events. The project seeks to break down barriers to economic growth and generate public interest in the redevelopment of downtown Flint. Since 1999, the Parade of Festivals has increased the number and diversity of people having an enjoyable time in downtown Flint.
