About this grant
This grant provides continued general purpose support to the Philanthropy Roundtable, a national association of 625 foundations, families, individual philanthropists, corporate giving programs, and trust and estate officers. The grantee helps donors achieve their charitable goals and protects their freedom to give as they choose by providing a variety of programs and services for grantmakers including a national conference, regional meetings, publication of "Philanthropy" magazine, thematic publications, and public policy work. Its major topic-focused thematic areas are K-12 education reform, economic opportunity, and veterans. Beyond its routine educational programs and services, the grantee’s specific objectives for 2015 are to facilitate 10 major philanthropic breakthroughs, vigorously support public policy efforts to defend philanthropic freedom through its Alliance for Charitable Reform project, and publish an Almanac of American Philanthropy.
