About this grant
This grant provides continued general purpose support to the Philanthropy Roundtable, a national association of 650 foundations, families, individual philanthropists, corporate giving programs, trust officers, and estate officers. The grantee exists to help donors achieve their charitable goals and protect their freedom to give as they choose. It provides a variety of programs and services for grantmakers including a national conference, regional meetings, publication of "Philanthropy" magazine, thematic publications, and public policy work. Major topic-focused thematic areas include K-12 education, economic opportunity, veterans, character formation, entrepreneurship, and donor intent. Over 2017-2018, the grantee will continue its educational and convening services, particularly in the areas identified above, and vigorously support public policy efforts to defend philanthropic freedom through its Alliance for Charitable Reform project.
