About this grant
The goal of the International Community Foundation Fellows Program is to provide young scholars and professionals from South Africa, Central/Eastern Europe and other world regions with opportunities to learn about community foundations. The fellows participate in an intensive, three-month graduate program of research, seminars, conferences, mentoring and internships.Multiyear funding will support the continuation of the program, with Mott funds supporting one fellow from Central/Eastern Europe or Russia, one from South Africa and one from another region of the world. Additional funding will support one fellow from a U.S. minority community for one year.During 2000-2003, a total of 27 fellows, nine of which were directly supported by Mott funding, participated in the program. A recent program initiative was the development of a four-week fellows intensive seminar program, designed to meet the professional needs of those holding decisionmaking positions in their organizations.
