About this grant
The program goal is to enhance the development of community philanthropy globally. To this end, the Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society, housed within the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, runs an International Community Foundation Fellows Program. Since its launch in 1989, the program has offered more than 170 emerging leaders and seasoned community foundation practitioners from foreign countries opportunities to learn about community foundations through an intensive graduate program of research, seminars, conferences, mentoring, and internships. A grant increase will support a survey assessment to document the impact program alumni have had in their communities as a result of their participation in the program. Founded in 1846, the City University of New York is among the nation’s leading urban public universities. The Research Foundation of the City University of New York was created to expedite and provide oversight of the management of funds obtained by faculty.
