About this grant
The National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy encourages the philanthropic sector to be more responsive and accountable to marginalized communities. Program areas include democracy and philanthropy, alternative funds assistance, corporate grantmaking, and communications and outreach. It accomplishes its mission through research and advocacy and by organizing meetings and offering information and education services.Multiyear funding will support activities that include enhancing foundation accountability and transparency; defending the rights of nonprofit organizations to engage in public advocacy; educating funders, nonprofit organizations and other stakeholders about changes in philanthropy; promoting the growth of alternative funds in workplace giving; and holding foundations and corporate grantmakers accountable for their giving practices and the impacts of their giving on underserved populations.
