Promoting Civil Society in the Croatian Media

The goal of the project is to promote through the media the role and importance of the nonprofit sector in Croatia’s democratic development. To this end, the Incredibly Good Institution produces high-quality, creative video reports and documentary films; and provides training and technical assistance to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), activists and others interested in promoting important messages and ideas through the media.Multiyear funding will enable the organization to continue promoting the values and accomplishments of the Croatian nonprofit sector through the media; and encourage more effective and creative use of the media by NGOs and activists. Activities will include creating and producing short reports and films covering issues related to civil society development, civic activism and environmental protection; producing three thematic series for television and two documentary films covering like issues; and providing high-quality training to local communities on the use of the media for public relations and awareness raising.Activities during the past two years included producing more than 150 short reports on various nonprofit sector issues for a morning news program; increasing coverage of NGOs outside Zagreb and the number of reports focused on environmental protection and sustainable development; producing a documentary series for young people; and organizing training sessions for young people active in NGOs and their communities.
