About this grant
For some time, American Rivers has led efforts to improve the operation of hundreds of dams, thereby ensuring increased fish passage, adequate in-stream flows, improved water quality and other benefits to freshwater ecosystems. This grant increase will enable American Rivers to host a national conference of hydropower relicensing experts, build an education and outreach program concerning the value of water quality certification in hydropower relicensing, and update data relevant to the field.
