About this grant
American Rivers, a national leader in the field of hydropower relicensing, promotes changes in the way dams are operated to ensure increased fish passage, adequate in-stream flows, improved water quality, and similar benefits for freshwater ecosystems. Renewal support will allow American Rivers to participate in key relicensing processes in the Southeast, ensure that new licenses in the Great Lakes and Southeast are implemented properly, and help local groups prepare to monitor license implementation over the long term.
