About this grant
The National Campaign for Jobs and Income Support is a collaboration of grassroots organizations, advocates and think tanks working together to promote jobs and income security at the national level.Funding will enable the campaign to continue its work by focusing on developing and implementing a revised income and jobs organizing strategy; creating state policy approaches to income security; strengthening the infrastructure of organizing at the state level; and conducting an evaluation.Accomplishments during the past two years included educating the public on the importance of the food stamp program; shaping the welfare debate to ensure that the voices of poor Americans were heard in state legislatures and Congress; and advocating for inclusion of a partially refundable child credit in federal tax legislation.
